Wall Mounted

Wall mounted air conditioners are usually installed at a high level on a wall. Offering sleek modern styling, these cost-effective solutions can often be installed in your place of business with little or no requirement for redecoration.

Ceiling Mounted

Ceiling mounted air conditioning are often reffered to as cassette units. These are installed within a suspended ceiling. All that's visible is an almost flush facia panel.

COVID-19 & Air Conditioning

The risk of air conditioning spreading coronavirus (COVID-19) in the workplace is extremely low as long as there is an adequate supply of fresh air and ventilation.

You can continue using most types of air conditioning system as normal. But, if you use a centralised ventilations system that removes and circulates air to different rooms it is recommended that you turn off recirculation and use a fresh air supply.

COVID-19 Ventilation

To minimise the risks of airborne transmission of SARS-CoV2 the general advice is to increase the air supply and exhaust ventilation, supplying as much outside air as is reasonably possible. The underlying principle is to dilute and remove airborne pathogens as much as possible, exhausting them to the outside air and reducing the chance that they can become deposited on surfaces or inhaled by room users.

Given the current outbreak of Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) it is no suprise that businesses are interersted in purchasing Ultraviolet-C solutions.

UVC radiation has been shown to destroy the outer protein coating of the SARS-Coronavirus, this destruction ultimately leads to inactivation of the virus.

A UV Air Disinfection System utilises the disinfectant properties of UV-C light to convert an air-conditioning unit into a powerful air sanitiser.

UV-C is part of the light spectrum that can be used for water purification, air and surface disinfection. Ranging from 100 nanometers (nm) to 280 nm it’s exposure deactivates the DNA of bacteria, virus, and other pathogens by destroying their ability to reproduce and cause disease.

UV Air Disinfection System

MAC Aircon team are experienced installers and providers of the Blue Science UV Air Purification System kits.

The Blue Science UV Air Disinfection System utilises the disinfectant properties of UV-C light to convert an air-conditioning unit into a powerful air sanitiser.

Warm and contaminated air is pulled in through the top of the unit, where it is then cooled via the unit’s cooling coil. BlueScience immerses the air around the cooling coil in UV-C light, sanitising it during the process. The cool air is then dispensed by the air-conditioning unit free of virus, bacteria, moulds and odours.
